Our Horses

Willow is a 14.2hh quarter horse mare who is great on the flat, over small fences, has competed in gymkhanas and has even roped cattle! Willow is a very patient and quiet mare who is best suited for beginner to novice level riders.

Don Diego De La Vega is a 16.2hh Canadian Warmblood gelding who is the sweetest guy ever! He has been there and done that as far as the show ring goes, which makes him the great match for anyone wanting to try a little showing. With his easy going attitude, he is a perfect fit for any adult novice or junior / amateur rider looking to move up.

They say beware the chestnut mare but that couldn’t be further from the truth with our Winnie. She is a 17hh Canadian Warmblood mare, who makes friends with everyone she meets. Whether a rider is learning how to jump for the first time, learning how to ride larger fences successfully, or heading to a show, this mare always brings her A game. She has lovely, smooth movements making her suitable for novice level riders and up.

Another superstar of the lesson horse program, Simon’s background consisted mainly of showmanship classes and gymkhana events before coming to us. He is a very talented little jumper with the best can-do attitude you could ask for. His first time competing indoors at RMSJ, he went around with a junior rider like he’d been doing it his whole life. We jokingly refer to him as “the big comfy couch” due to his size and comfortable gaits. Standing at 15.2hh he is a perfect move-up for kids who have outgrown the ponies but aren’t quite ready for the big horses just yet.
